My Story
Logan Tanaka
22 years old
Mililani, O’ahu
I am born and raised in Mililani, Hawai'i, graduated from Mid-Pacific, Class of 2019. I am currently a senior at the University of Oregon pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and minoring in Multimedia.
I have a Port Wine Stain on my face which is a birthmark! I have had it since I was born and have been blessed with an amazing/supportive family and friends. I have always had a dream of doing more for others and making other people feel happy and comfortable which I’ve always had to adjust to. I have been unfortunate to find a solution to the rapid growth of my lip but use this work to allow me to show other people’s stories and inspiration.
I was 1 of 2 Senior Editors my senior year and yearbook photographer in high school, part of the Holomua Honor Society which is selected by peers, and the Representative of the Mid-Pacific Class of 2019. In high school, I outrigger canoe paddled which my crew and I qualified for the HHSAA State Paddling Race. My crew placed 6th in 2018 and 4th in 2019 in the state.
At the University of Oregon, I am currently a creative intern for Oregon Athletics (@goducks) and for Oregon Football (@oregonfootball). My position at GoDucks is to create creative projects through videos and photos for @goducks. My work also supports other accounts like @oregonfootball, @oregonmbb, @oregonwbb, etc. My role for Oregon Football is to take photos and make graphics for incoming recruits and also for the football season.
From recently taking my photography to a professional level, I have years of hobby photography and classes learning the different concepts. From event photography to product photography I have some experience in it all. After understanding the fundamentals and different possibilities, I have added my own creativity to my work. Looking through this website should give you a unique experience of how I capture life.
Outside of high school and college, I paddled for Kamamalahoe Canoe Club which I have done many long-distance races including; The Hawaiian Airlines Moloka’i Hoe, Na Pali Coast Challenge, and Queen Liliuokalani Race in Kona, Hawai’i. One of my biggest accomplishments I’ve done is the Moloka’i Hoe which is 42 miles and took a little over 6 hours to finish. I am an experienced waterman that understands the water and train to be comfortable in the ocean.
I have been fortunate to work with many companies, non-profits, and people. My most recent accomplishment was making the cover of Modern Luxury Hawai’i Magazine and also Blue. Magazine.
I appreciate all the support over the years and am happy to offer my creativity through photography.
